Girls Night Out #1
Hello readers! It’s been quite while since I’ve updated the blog, but for good reason. I’ve gotten to work on a music video and an independent and have also become an UnFranchise® Owner with Market America. I’ve been researching this company for a year, and with major changes happening my life, my husband and I took a leap of faith by joining the business and becoming business partners. When it came to what part of the business I wanted to specialize in, Motives Cosmetics by Loren Ridinger was a no brainer for me. With mentions from celebrities like Kim Kardashian, I knew this was something I had to become involved with! Once I was able to sample the product – I fell in love and have been an ambassador ever since!
With guidance from my senior business partners, I’ve been educating myself on this product line, and decided to host a party to introduce some friends and family to the line. Between makeup overs, sampling products, cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries and Rhianna latest cd blasting in the background, we had an amazing time.
Even our mineral powders are customizable for our clients!
Shirelle allowed me to create a “club look” on her – I look for any opportunity to break out purple eye shadow
In addition to our custom blend foundations and minerals, we also have lip shines (the most moisturizing thing I’ve ever put on my lips), lipsticks, nail polishes, eye shadows (powders, creams,), brush sets – whatever you need – I have it for you!
Thank you to everyone who came and showed their support!
SISTER ACT| Kinge-Ann’s Sweet Sixteen brought to you by Nicole’s Gift Creations and Jhe’anell Talee
Within a week of arriving back in New York, I was booked for a makeup job referred to me by Nicole, owner of Nicole’s Gift Creations. This company provides affordable decor for any occasion as well as gift baskets, diaper cakes, balloon arches, candy tables and just about anything you can think of to spruce up your event. I love working with Nicole, not only because she gives her all to her clients…but because she’s also my big sister, lol.
For this event, I did makeup for a Kinge-Ann, who was celebrating her Sweet Sixteen! She was so sweet and very excited about her big party. This event was very nostalgic for me, because a few years earlier one of my bestfriends had her Sweet Sixteen at the same location (Verdi’s, Long Island), used the same dressing room where I did her makeup, and her party was in the same room as Kinge-Ann’s. Her photos were snapped by Nikki McCormick who captured this beautiful shot below:
Expect to see a lot more collaborations between Jheanell Talee Makeup Artistry and Nicole’s Gift Creations. Here’s video I shot of the event showcasing both our roles:

Here are some detail photos that I snapped of Nicole’s work…

JT BACK IN THE CITY!!!!!
After moving back to New York last year and returning back to Florida for what was to be one makeup job that turned into a years worth of work (which I’m beyond grateful for), I’m happy to announce that I am now back in New York – permanently! I had a great time working in Miami but am ready for the challenges of New York. There are a few things in the works that I’m excited to share when the time is right, but for now here are some photos that I snapped while walking around Manhattan last week:
miami riot!
I know that every shoot I work on I say that it’s my favorite – but hands down, this was it! I haven’t laughed that much in a long time and definitely never laughed so much at a photo shoot. These guys were a riot – literally! Miami Riot is a rock band that had great success during the 80′s and 90′s and after a long hiatus, they’re setting the stage for their comeback!
I guess rock bands are supposed to have a hard image, but these guys were so funny!
My main role at this shoot was to work on hair and these guys had a lot of it! I also did touch ups on set while Cassandra worked on the other members. I can’t wait for Cassandra to post the video from this shoot because it’s hard to put this experience into words.
This shoot was bittersweet because although we were having the most amazing time on the shoot, it was my last (for now) with Cassandra before leaving South Florida. I thank her for taking the time to teach me and for bringing me along to all the fun projects that she’s been working on. I have something I’m cooking up for 2011 which she is a vital part of, so we will still be working together despite the distance.
Photographer Alex Manfredini was nice enough to snap some and edit some photos of us with the guys! Here is Alex himself (in the long black and white wig) with the band – gotta love a photog who loves to have fun

JONES MAGAZINE EVENT| SMCHEZ Lipwear X Geebin Flores
A few weeks ago, Jones Magazine hosted an event called “Meet Me In Miami”, where Cassandra and her lipgloss line SMCHEZ were featured to a group of fabulous women. Through speaking with the group she was able to discuss her inspiration about the line, as well as educate them about the ingredients in the products and how beneficial they are. This event was hosted at the fabulous store by young and beautiful designer Geebin Flores. Geebin’s self titled store oozes what Miami style is about – sexy! I love meeting young women who are entrepeneurs who also don’t mind sharing their experiences and know-how with you. Her store is located next to the Kardashian’s sisters DASH store in Miami – you can’t miss it!
Here I am hamming it up in one of Geebin’s dressing rooms – what can I say? It’s so much fun in there + she has amazing music playing in her store!

Here’s the cover from a shoot that I got to assist on during the Spring…
Working with cover model Sagia as well as the other girls in the issue was a pleasure – very sweet girls! As usual, thank you to Cassandra for giving me the opportunity to assist her – and also to the entire Smooth Magazine staff including its founder and editor in chief Sandy for helping me look for my cell phone in the sand, lol.
