shooting with ESSENCE MAGAZINE

 Essence Magazine is the premiere Black Womans magazine whose pages are flooded with the latest in beauty, fashion, entertainment and much more! I’ve been a long time reader of the publication, so naturally I was excited when Cassandra asked me if I could assist her on their latest photo shoot. With the Gansevoort Miami Beach as our backdrop, it felt  like more of a day of hanging out on the beach with friends than work. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and the shoot went off without a hitch.

 We glammed up 6 gorgeous models (including my fellow Jamaican diva Trisha Campbell + Dominican beauty Christina Mendez) who represented so many scopes of beauty – so many beautiful women of all shades, hair textures and sizes – the casting was on point. All the girls were super nice and extremely professional

 I had such an amazing time on this shoot! My favorite part being when the girls were having their photo taken in the water and I had to jump in to fix flying hair – jeans and all, lol. I’m an island baby, so anytime I can get in water (even if I’m fully clothed) I’ll take it.
